Where can I park my car?
Parking is on the grass verge beside the main gate, or in the park opposite.

Are there guided tours of the Garden?
On arrival you will be met at the gate by a member of staff who will give you a brief introduction to the Garden, you will then be free to make your own way round; the layout the Garden makes guided tours impracticable.

How long does it take to walk around the garden?
The Garden and woodland walks are approximately 5.5 acres in extent and at least one hour should be allowed to see the garden at a leisurely pace.

Will I be able to ask questions about the Garden or plants?
Yes, a member of the staff is usually on hand to answer questions.

Is the garden accessible to wheel chair users?
There is wheelchair access to most areas, although some islands can only be reached over narrow bridges (45cm wide). There are toilets with wheelchair access in the Garden.

Can I bring a picnic to eat in the Garden?
Picnicing is not permitted in the Garden; however, light refreshments are available in the tea room at Longstock Park Nursery.

Is the Nursery close to the Garden?
Longstock Park Nursery is a few minutes drive from the Garden and is open from 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Saturday (Sunday 11am to 5pm – March to October).

Is there anywhere to shelter if it rains?
There is very little shelter, please check the weather forecast before you visit and bring umbrellas and waterproof clothing if necessary.

Is it possible to arrange to visit the Garden as a group on a weekday?
